Add global markers bug

Hello, after I scan the global markers, then I scan point cloud with turning on “add global markers”
It still does not add any markers. Its a bug. When I create another project and import the same global markers there, and try there, it works.
But when I scan the global markers first and then switch to the point cloud mode, it has that bug. Not everytime.
Try this: scan global markers, and then switch to the point cloud mode with turning on “add global marker”. Turn off the Rockit. Then turn on again and scan and see if it has this bug.

It happened again. I scanned the point cloud with “add global markers” ON, then I scan, it missaligned and I CLEANED the scan. Then scan again, this time it didnt scan the extra markers. Now I have to create another project. Very annoying bug.

Do you scan global markers first, and then, without saving them to a file, immediately try to start scanning by adding new markers?

Hi, we don’t suggest you power down the scanner while scanning.

But if you didn’t power down the scanner after scanning global markers, then the add markers function is abnormal, pls submit a ticket at einstarsupport and our engineers will soon reach out to you.You can use the quick access inside of the software.

Hello, this bug happens even if I dont turn scanner off.
I shared the video. In the video, I scan the markers only. Up and down. Then I start scanning point cloud. Then, I delete the scan. (if it scans wrong) then I scan again, this time, it ignores the “add global marker” option.

Hi, there is indeed a issue. Can you help to export the log and provide us with the project file that you’re having issue with so we can locate the issue and solve it ASAP?Thank you very much, pls check the procedures below.
Kindly asking for the device log when the scanner is in wired connection with your PC so our R&D colleagues can analyze the issue, you can upload the file onto your google drive and share the link with us, pls remember to give us the permission to download the file through your shared link.

Procedures to export the project:
1.find the project in your software’s space;
2.click the 3 dot icon at the right corner side and select open the folder

3.pack up all the files in the folder as a zip folder and send it to us through the ticket platform.

Thank you very much.

Hello, the log zip file is 5gb size. I can not upload it through ticket system.

The video that I shared above should help to understand. its pretty straightforward. Please try in your machine and let me know if you have the same issue. If you dont have that bug and if its only in my machine, then we can share my 5gb log file.

I use my rockit full time for work and I would like to share the bugs I have. its great scanner but I see bugs often. Just now when I was scanning, I paused the scan and when I contiune, it deleted all the pointcloud all the sudden. I went to main menu and open the project again, this time I saw the point cloud but the markers were gone. Its just too many small / large bugs I see. I would like to share as much as can to improve this very capable scanner. So much potantial.

Thank for your sharing and patience. Yes, the file upload size on the ticket platform has limitation, we suggest you upload the file onto google drive and share the link with us on ticket, pls remember to set access of the file into “anyone with the link” .We’ll also try to reproduce the bug at our side, thank you very much! After submitting, you can inform me with your ticket number so our engineers will get back to you faster:)
