Feature request - EXStar Hub

Whenever you start a new scan in global marker mode the default is to scan global markers, not pointcloud.

My usual workflow when starting the scan of an object is to first scan global markers, save scanned markers to a file and then start scanning. whenever you add a project to the project group (rotating the part for a new scan) default is still always scan global markers - not pointcloud.
This introduces unneccesary chance for user error (object is now placed on the scantable and some markers are therefore invisible).

Desired behaviour: when adding subsequent scans to the project group default to “scan pointcloud” instead of “scan global markers”.

I have the same issue in Exscan Rigil. I think if you are making multiple scans within the same project group, and have already loaded (or scanned) a global markers file, it would be helpful if when you start a new project/scan it defaulted to having the previous markers already set up, and be able to go straight into point cloud capture.

As a new user, I hate the terminology of project group/project. Project already implies some sort of over-arching collection of actions. I’d prefer if Project Group was renamed to “Project’ and the current ‘Project’ became a ‘Scan’ or a ‘Capture’ or something.

Hi,
The idea about projects’ name is good, we are also considering change the project logic, we will take this in consideration as one of the solution, thanks!

Hi,
This workflow is reasonable, with the add global marker function, it could be a more convenient way, we will serious evaluate this idea in the next version, thanks for your suggestion, I will reply to you if this feature will be modified in the future plan
