Editing Frames of a scan

Hello Folks,

i have a problem. Although tracking is quite stable with the Vega, i seem to get missalignments during projects. How can i handle these without the need of restarting all over again?
Is there a way to remove certain frames, or realign them or edit them?

Thanks!

Hi ingManiac
You can edit the point cloud data after you pause and save the scan data if here is a few the misalignment. You can follow the guideline this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efaiPlB_-As

If you found the scanning of certain objects has many misalignment, we suggest you to add some feature stuff around the object you want to scan for a stable and smooth experience and better result.

For the rewind function, it is in development, we will publish it in the near further.

Thanks for your feedback, hope you find this helpful, feel free to contact us if you have any issues or scanning experience to share.

Thanks for the hint, i will try this.
But it won’t help with overlapping frames, cause you have to delete data that was scanned already and that would have been useful.
Do you have at least a gut feeling when we the first updates are ready?
It would really improve the device.

Currently, for overlapping frame you can delete this part and do another scan at this part, then align these two part on StarVision.
We will develop Rewind function within this year ASAP, we understand it will improve the efficiency of user’s workflow.

Yeah, this new feature will be added inside the later updates of VEGA application. Pls looking forward to it.

It would be good if you took inspiration from what some of your competition is doing, and not just rewind during the scan, but also have a keyframe edit mode that allows you to remove erroneous frames from the point cloud in the PC at a later point.

Already seen, need to test it on the weekend.
