I am a regular user of the Einstar VEGA.
It is a very good scanner, but recently I feel that it takes an unusually long time to start up.
Currently, it takes about 1 minute and 10 seconds from powering on until it becomes ready to scan.
Is this considered normal behavior?
When I first purchased the device, I feel it started up a bit faster, but since I did not record the startup time back then, this may just be my impression.
I have also noticed that switching between VCSEL and MEMS seems to take longer than it did initially.
After measuring the switching times:
- Switching from HD to Fast mode takes approximately 7 seconds
- Switching from Fast to HD mode takes approximately 13 seconds
I would like to know whether these startup and mode-switching behaviors are normal.
You know, with the updates of vega’s software, we have added many more new features and bug fixing, that maybe cause the times a little bit longer but that’s to make sure loading all the essential apps. You no need to worry about that.
