Will there be apple mac support for the new scanners in the near future?
Sure. Our team is working hard on the macOS version, and we’re aiming to have it ready within this year, stay tuned!
We are only running Macs in our studio and really looking forward to Mac software for our Rockit 3D-scanner.
Do you have any Mac specs yet?
Currently we don’t have a certain specs for mac version, but apple silicon chip is necessary (old MacBook with intel chip is not supported).
It is still in developing, the RAM requirement need to be confirmed by internal test first.
Our current mac specs are M1 Max with maxed out graphic cores and 32 GB RAM. Could we count on this being enough?
We would be happy to beta test, if you need people for that.

Do you have any updates on your progress with the Mac version?
We are about to purchase some PC:s for scanning if the Mac version will come later than expected. Not a problem, but unnecessary if our Mac:s will get the software soon.
Hi, we’re preparing beta test! When the release is available, you can sign up to participate in the beta test program. If you have urgent projects, purchasing a Windows-based computer would be a more reliable option. If not urgently needed, the Mac version is coming soon, so you may consider waiting for a short while.

I am interested in the Einstar 2 and Einstar Rockit 3D scanners. Could you please confirm if these models currently support macOS? If not, do you have plans to release a macOS compatible version of the EXStar software in the near future?
Hi, we are in beta testing currently, the official release of EXStar Hub mac will be soon
We just downloaded the Mac ExStarHub on a Mac M1 Pro Max (2021) with 32 GB of RAM and have upgraded our Rockit scanner firmware and made our first test scan.
Som crashes, but over all a success!

Official release for Mac is out!
Unfortunately the scan refuses to start. Calibration seems to work properly, but scan just shows “in progress” but no options are available and pressing ‘play’ on the scanner does nothing.
Very unfortunate, I’ve waited until the end of my return window this month hoping to have a working scanner.
May need some logs for further analyzation, Would you pls visit Submit a ticket : Einstar Support and our engineers will help you in a sec. BTW, what’s OS version of your macbook? Require Tahoe 26.2
