Hello Team, new user and beginner at this 3D scanning. Can anyone help in regard to me scanning my golf clubs? Just need to scan the head of the club which has a very shiny service and small in size. I need to scan the entire head and not just the face. Any professional advice would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Fitto.
Hi, Fitto
When scanning reflective objects with minimal surface features, such as golf clubs, the blue laser mode and marker-based tracking are essential.
-
First, you need a fixed mount to suspend the golf club in mid-air. A Accessories Pro Kit (available at einstar.com) is highly recommended.
-
Prepare the markers as shown in the picture, then use the Global Marker function to scan the markers as a frame. Optimize and Save the p3.
-
As a beginner, I recommend using AESUB spray on the golf clubhead surface. This powder dissipates naturally and requires no cleanup, making it easier to scan reflective surfaces.
-
Continue to scan point cloud, position the golf club in the empty space in the mid of accessories kit, aligning its height with the vertical support bars. Use the scanner’s Laser Mode in cross-line mode for 360-degree scanning and tracking. This mode scans faster and covers a larger tracking area.
Feel free to ask for help if it is still difficult to complete whole scan.
That’s amazing!! Thank you so much for such a detailed response on what I need to do. Really appreciate it ![]()
