Bug: Project loading stuck at 50% leading to loss of project data (MAJOR ISSUE)

I created scan today from object and wanted to open the project again today in the office.

Finally it’s not possible to open the project and its stuck at 50% for very long time. Need to cancel the process. This also means all the data is LOSS !!!

There are still so many issues with the ExScan Hub Software. Absolutely not usable for productive use! What’s the solution plan to reliable SW for the Rockit. It’s really very much frustrating. All the projects from the weekend i was forced to complete using other brand laser scanner.

Not answered after 15 days???

Hi, this issue cause by broken project due to software crash or other bugs, it should be solved in the previous version, but the project can not be resolved. Please let me know if the new projects still have same issue.

I’m having the same issue right now with the latest software version. It gets stuck on 50% for a long while, eventually manages to open the project only to have terrible loss of data leading to software crashing in 45 seconds after you try to mesh it with intelligent simplifying on. My original .pro file size is over 7GB, the “reconstructed” one is ~1.2GB.
Without intelligent simplifying it somehow manages to create a mesh anyway.

Hi everyone, I received a new Rockit scanner. I use it on a Mac Studio M4Max. I’m having some issue similar to the one mentioned above. Everything works until the software suddenly quits. When I try to reopen the project, it loads up to 50% and then it gets stuck. I have done 4 scans so far and I experienced this problem twice. The first scan I started all over again. But this time I think it looks more like a software issue. I ran Activity monitor but the the memory needed for opening the files doesn’t peak at all. Could you kindly let me know if there’s a solution?

This issue seems quite unusual. Could you share your project files or relevant log files? They are located in the Einstar HUB folder, which will help us further analyze the problem.

Thank you for your reply. I managed to reopen the project. I opened the software and opened each project one by one (5 in total). The 5th one seemed to have been causing the problem. I deleted it so I cannot send you. If it happens again, I will send you.

Hi, it happened again. I just downloaded an update of the software that popped up as suggestion. I then try to scan a piece at 0.06 definition. The scan seemed to function, but the software crashed when I try to generate points. (I had Activity Monitor on and I saw that the memory pressure did not move). I tried to send you the temp files but it is not in the temporary folder.

The software can find the project in the folder it was saved into, but I can’t open it beyond 50%. If I try to open a new project and add this project, it crashes. I attach an image of the screen capture of where I get when reopen the software. Here is a download link for the files that are still present in myfolder:

1.Find the project in your space in EXStar Hub,click open the folder

2.Pack all the files into a zip file since we need all the files showed in the below picture.You can upload the project onto your google drive and pls share us the link to download the project.
