Hello, I have had my Vega since last week and am now also struggling with the USB connection to my PC.
I found the reference to the entries in the Windows firewall, but these entries were not there for me. I then created one manually.
The next problem is that my laptop doesn’t have any USB-C ports. With USB-A cables, it at least brings up the message that it is connected to the PC, but then also shortly afterwards that the cable does not provide enough speed and I should replace it.
What do I do now?
Is there an adapter from USB-A to USB-C that is supported?
Or a USB-A to USB-C cable? What specifications should it have?
I’ve tried a few cables, but none have worked yet.
How about you try this way below:
Solution Workflow:
Windows Defender Firewall > Advanced Settings > Inbound Rules
Double-click on StarVision Binary
Click the “Advanced” tab.
Under Profiles > Specify profiles to which this rule applies, ensure that “Domain”, “Private”, and “Public” checkboxes are checked.
Click OK
Repeat for both instances of “StarVision Binary”
After this procedure, the file transfer process works as intended.
Thanks for pointing this out, but as already mentioned, I have already found and checked this elsewhere in the forum. And as mentioned, I don’t have these entries, which is why I created one manually with exactly these specifications.
At what point should these be created?
It would also be interesting to know which files these entries are for. I have created an entry for StarVision.exe.
