I’ve got 13 active projects and nearly all of them only have a single scan but my MacBook Pro hard drive shows over a hundred DAT files that are each 970.8 MB. I need to offload some of this data to continue adding any new scans and wondering how to proceed. Will the file path be corrupted if I move these scans to an external drive? Is there a file format that will allow me to hole-fill or otherwise edit them in the future? Most are museum object scans that I won’t be able to re-do, so I’m worried about deleting anything.
Migrate the entire data in the minimum unit of the project group’s group path; the project data can be imported by importing the project group later. Rest assured, the file path will not be corrupted.
Thank you! When I opened the project group from the new location, I did get a pop up warning (I think it said the file was missing?) but when that was dismissed, I was able to process and export it normally.
