New einstar 2 calibration issue

Hello, my new Einstar 2 just arrived and I can’t calibrate it. It’s loosing connection every time when I start calibration, green light changes to blinking blue light and after reconnecting it keeps doing the same thing.

I’ve already tried updating all drivers of my laptop and reinstalling software. I want to figure out, am I doing something wrong or it’s scanner or software issue?

Thanks.

Hi! Could you please confirm whether you’re using the original USB 3.0 cable that came with the scanner?

Based on your description, this looks more like an unstable USB signal transmission issue rather than a calibration problem.

Could you also try:

  • Connecting the scanner to a different USB 3.0 port on your computer?
  • Testing it on another computer, if available?
  • Using a powered USB hub that supports USB 3.0 high-speed data transfer, as this can sometimes improve connection stability.

Please let us know the results, and we’ll be happy to help you troubleshoot further.

Hi! Yes, I’m using the original USB cable. Also I have already tested another USB 3.0 port, another cable and tested it through powered usb-hub. All the attempts have the same result.

I can start scanning with it and it’s working stable. But connection getting lost when I start calibration or saving device log. I can’t even scan qr code of calibration board with it.

And I have one more question. Should the device log archive be password-protected? Because every device log I save has got a password and I have no access to it. If that’s right, I can attach it. I really wish that problem solved.

Thanks.

Problem SOLVED!

I’ve bought a bunch of different adapters and working solution is a USB 3.1 to Type-C adapter. Now the connection is stable and calibration is working.

Thanks for support! Wish this information would be useful in the future.
