Hello,
I’m new to ExScan and I have a problem, which neither the tutolrial videos nor ChatGPT nor extensive trying could solve.
When I import a model from a infrared scan I can go until the Postprocessing of the mesh and get stuck. I can close holes change the brightness of the texture, but then there is no possibillity for me to complete the job and save it. If I press the home button the data gets lost and I am back to the scan module…
What am I doing wrong?
In ExHub software it is not possible to save the mesh. It is the most annoying thing Shining3d is doing in the scanning software. I any other sw it is possible to save mesh, alignment and measurements. I hope this gets fixed soon. Really annoying!
If I want, in addition to exporting to STL, to also leave the processed mesh in the project, then after creating it I exit the program (in this case, it is saved and when the program is started again and the project is opened, it will be there). But in general, yes - an extremely incomprehensible and unpleasant decision not to have a “Save” button in the program. Also, in other programs, I can scan several different parts of a product in one project, process each one and get several final files for export - then all the scans are dumped in a heap, and it is impossible to choose which of them to use to build a mesh… which is why I have to make a bunch of projects on the basis of one part of the product - one project.
